My name is Teresa Nystrom, and I currently live in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where I work as an Air Evac Medic. I’ve been competing in the Scottish Highland Games off and on for approximately 17 years, and I just can’t get enough. This is my second family.

I recently won my 10th Masters World Championship title; My world titles have been in the Masters and Masters Lightweight divisions.

My world titles have included: 2015 St Louis, MI, 2016 Niagara, NY, 2017 Hafnarfjorour, Iceland, 2018 Stuttgart, Germany, 2019 Tucson, AZ, 2020 Cancelled due to COVID, 2021 Austin, TX, 2022 Moncton, Canada, 2023 Neuendorf, Switzerland, 2024 Jacksonville, Florida, and 2025 Brandon Mississippi.

I have also competed in Brassiere, France; this event was the first time in the history of the games to have women compete. I was extremely excited to have placed 3rd.

I currently hold multiple World Records in the Master’s and Lightweight classes, with the hope to continue to improve as I get older… it can happen…
